MCP Computer Products (MCP) announced today that it has received a Phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) award from the U.S. Air Force (USAF AFWERX). Primary objective of this award is to validate the MCP/DDC solution for the world’s first Mobile Ruggedized Data Center.  Our MCP/DDC team has successfully scaled down a full data center into a ruggedized mobile data cabinet.  Our solution provides a completely sealed, clean, and cooled environment with fire suppression.  This allows quick deployment of a temporary data center, into the field where needed. These data centers can also be quickly modified to provide EMI/RF shielding and a hardened bullet proof exterior.  These versions exceed the USAF test sites for drone exercises where mobility and security are required.
